DOORS OPEN – 19h
CONCERTS – 20h30 (Cascais Jazz Sessions)
On July 20th, Jamie Cullum, the artist who lives between jazz and pop, will perform on the stage of the Hipódromo Manuel Possolo, in Cascais, for an unforgettable night full of movement and joy. The artist returns to Portugal, bringing with him the energy that fans admire over the years. Before the performance of the Briton, the Portuguese trumpet player Jéssica Pina takes the stage, for a night in which funk and jazz are the slogans in the Hipódromo Manuel Possolo.
The enigmatic Jamie Cullum initially won the fans doing classic covers from Frank Sinatra and other artists. Over the years, Cullum became the author of his music and learned how to play instruments, such as piano, guitar and percussion. Jamie Cullum is a one man show from United Kingdom, with a contemporary report that lives between the jazz and the pop. The music classics as Don’t Stop The Music and Mind Trick are part of Cullum's massive repertoire, which consists in seven studio albums, one live album and two compilations.
It's a story of EDPCOOLJAZZ. Jéssica Pina was invited by the festival and debuted a trio in the Jazz Sessions of the 2017 edition. The format went so well that she repeated at the Cascais Jazz Sessions in 2018, right in the Parque Marechal Carmona. The trumpet player of Cape Verdean descent would then work on his debut album, and this same record is what is at the base of the show to be presented on July 20 on the main stage of EDPCOOLJAZZ.
On July 20th , Jamie Cullum and Jéssica will perform on the stage of the Hipódromo Manuel Possolo, in Cascais.
