“Careta, the turtle that defends the planet!” on stage until summer 2012 at the Oceanário de Lisboa auditorium, is an entertaining and fun show for all the family! The success of the Oceanário transfers to the stage of the new auditorium with a children's musical show that illustrates the magnificent journey of sea turtles across the oceans. An adventure featuring funny characters, it stresses values such as friendship, the importance of listening to our elders and of constantly learning about the diversity of life. The production is inspired by the new exhibition “Sea Turtles. The journey” and is authored by Plano 6, known for its extensive experience in directing children's shows.
The adventure of Careta the Turtle starts on the beach where he was born under a full moon. During the confusion in the nest, between leaving his shell and starting to sprint for the ocean, Careta meets Casquinha. Together, the turtles prepare for their great trip. Careta, a funny and restless turtle, does not waste time and begins to study maps and navigation charts. Casquinha, a distracted dreamer, imagines what they will find at the bottom of the sea. Their adventure starts here.
During this unforgettable journey, Careta meets Pepa, an old sea turtle, and Vasco, the famous hero who defends the oceans. These new friends will tell us of their experience in the ocean and inspire us with their wisdom and knowledge. Other characters, including octopuses, tuna and sea horses populate this story. Through the waters of the ocean, the sea turtles venture on a migration across thousands of miles, living a surprise-packed story of friendship.
